The Women’s Specialty Unit (WSU) nursing staff strives, in collaboration with the patients and physicians, to create the finest and safest medical and nursing care for our patients. We believe that women have the right to make informed choices about their healthcare while also having their cultural, social and spiritual beliefs met.
Our nursing staff is committed to providing the best for our patients by promoting health education and services for women across the lifespan from adolescence to senescence with a focus on health issues distinctive to women. These issues encompass all of the dimensions in which a woman relates with herself and her environment—mind, body, and spirit.

Complementary therapies may include nontraditional therapies that can be used in addition to traditional medical and surgical therapies. These therapies are used as complements, not as alternatives, to other medical, surgical, and pharmacological treatments. In the holistic model, the emphasis is on achieving maximum body/mind health through a philosophy of treating the whole person. Treatments focus on medically needed interventions utilizing appropriate technology and complimentary noninvasive therapies.
