FirstSteps Classes
Every year we help bring thousands of new babies into the world. We want you to be as prepared as possible for the birth of your baby and to cherish the memories of your child's birth.
Our FirstSteps Education series will help prepare you for the experience.
When you attend FirstSteps classes, you’ll receive important information designed for your entire family including your baby’s siblings, grandparents and even the family pet.
We want you to have the answers you need to make the best decisions about your pregnancy, labor & delivery, postpartum care, and most importantly—your new baby. That’s why we provide BabyTalk, pre-recorded messages available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access these simply by using a touch-tone phone to dial the appropriate code for the topic you wish to hear. Each topic has a one to three minute pre-recorded message to answer questions you may have. Just call (210) 575-0355 or 1-800-333-7333 outside San Antonio.
We also offer WomanPlus —a special program designed with you in mind. As a member, benefits include FREE wellness newsletters and FREE FirstSteps Childbirth Education classes if you are delivering at a Methodist Healthcare facility. These classes are offered evenings, weekends and in special "Marathon" classes offered Saturday or Sunday for your convenience. Plus WomanPlus offers many other benefits!
